The MOST IMPORTANT tip to remember is that custom mats aren't posters. Custom mats are created to be framed or stored flat in the archival bags they came in.
The surface of mats is fragile and will show fingerprints and scratches easy. So when turning over mats always WORK ON CLEAN SURFACES when mounting your signed insert card.
Remember mats are cut an 1/8" of an inch shorter than required for the frame. So the actual size of a mat to fit an 11"x14" frame is 10.875"x13.875".
